In depth

Verdict

Middlebrook had an entry at Market Rasen last night while the one-paced Sacco D'Oro will be racing from 2lb out of the handicap and again let supporters down on the Polytrack last week. Stratford fourth Lucky Lukey is a C&D winner, however, and should go well but CUT THE CARDS is the type his trainer excels with and, despite returning from a break, makes his handicap debut off a decent mark having hinted at ability in novice events earlier this year. He gets the nod ahead of top weight Woodlark Island and Forever My Friend, who has become expensive to follow and is now visored. The four-year-old Geminus won at Cartmel last time but it will be a surprise if he follows up here off a 6lb higher mark.
