Brian Ellison's PENDRAGON was good value for his win over course and distance last month and can defy the 4lb rise for that one length defeat of Fitzolini, getting the vote over Granakey and Special Cuvee. The Andy Haynes-trained gelding has been running consistently well here in recent starts and he should again be thereabouts but may have to settle for a place at best once more. Alan Swinbank's Lilly Grove is less exposed than most of these after just four starts but needs to improve on the form shown when well held behind Borasco here last time to take a hand in the finish. Tony Carroll's Bold Diva came good when winning here in a handicap over seven furlongs earlier this month but an 8lb rise for that success looks harsh. Richard Fahey's Bajan Pride may do better now switched back to the Fibresand having disappointed of late on the Polytrack and is only 4lbs higher than when scoring here in January so he cannot be discounted. Ian Williams' Granakey has run well in his last two starts here and has claims but it is hard to get away from Pendragon, who can follow up his win here last time.
