In depth

Verdict

Topton looks to be really well-handicapped at present on the all-weather and he should be capable of getting the better of Sarraaf and Abstract Folly in this competitive opener. The selection won well last time out when beating Hoh Bleu Dee at Wolverhampton and as he won with a bit in hand that day it will be a surprise if he is not able to get his head in front again today. Sarraaf rates the main danger as he won well last time when beating I wish over 7f at Wolverhampton. The return to a mile will suit but he does have a 6lbs penalty for that recent success and for that reason we will take him on. Abstract Folly is another with claims as he was a good second behind Burhaan last time out, and the first two home that day had gone well clear of the rest of the field. He has won over today's trip but he is probably slightly better over further and for that reason we will take him on. Locombe Hill has a good claimer on board and is never one to dismiss lightly, so he could go well at a price but for the winner we will stick with Topton.
