    In depth

    Verdict

Veneer, Kirkhammerton and Tommytyler all come here on form but the vote goes to the last named. Having finished second in three of his last four runs Tommytyler deserves to land himself in the winners enclosure. He came to win his race travelling on the bridle two furlongs from home last time out but got beaten to the post by Kirkhammerton who takes on his rival again today. There is six pounds difference between this time around so the placings should be reversed. Veneer ran well to finish second at Kempton last time out but he has not won for well over a year and for that reason is to be treated with caution. So for the winner we return to Tommytyler.
