Verdict

Dan Skelton has made his anticipated rapid start to the new campaign and Ashoka, despite joint topweight, should go well. The gelding hasn't been seen for over a year but the stable are highly adept at returning inmates to the track after an absence, the level of form shown when last in action reads well and the market should reflect his wellbeing. Ink Master is struggling for form at present so OLIVER'S GOLD could be the one to come good here off an unchanged mark. The Walford gelding has posted four successive runner-up efforts in useful company and receives a hefty 19lb from the joint topweights. Ballyvic Boru would have a shout at his best too.
