In depth

Verdict

Cool Tiger is narrowly preferred to Mulberry Lad and Capital Lass. Cool Tiger had shown very little in his initial starts but a drop back to six furlongs appeared to work the trick and if Paul Howling has unlocked any latent ability, here is a good opportunity to show it. Mulberry Lad does have to give weight away and is difficult to catch right. He requires cover so William Carson may have to get lucky from this draw. Capital Lass sprang a 33/1 surprise at Southwell last month and was not disgraced on a subsequent visit to Wolverhampton. There may be more to come in this grade. Vlasta Weiner is best watched until a sign of any return to form is evident. Amandas Lad is returned to banded stakes grade having struggled in handicaps. Tuscan Flyer is always dangerous if escaping early doors while Christian Bendix and Time N Time Again have become lights of their former selves. Cool Tiger receives the nomination.
