Verdict

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN, runner-up in this a year ago, invariably runs well here and gained a deserved success last month for which a 4lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent a double. Quadriga's latest course success came over 7f for which he's penalised 6lb but he'd finished runner-up over 1m6f on his previous start and is still quite well treated despite the extra. Dual hurdles winner Deep Resolve has generally performed at a slightly higher level and is on the same mark as when scoring at Haydock in September but Toboggan's Gift is 7lb higher than when landing a seller here in February. Star Ascending scored at Wolverhampton in February and has been placed on both starts on this track though he'll need to find a bit more.
