Verdict

Transcendent is selected over Hawa Khana and Indecision in the finale. The last named may have needed the run last time out but still posted an encouraging display behind a run-away winner. That outing will have done Mick Easterby's charge the power of good and he is well worth considering if the market vibes are positive. Hawa Khana won in good style last time out and should make a bold bid to extend the run of good form. However, she will find life tougher under a penalty and has more to do in this company. Don Picolo and Her Name Is Rio are others that fit that profile and may be best watched today. especially if Transcendent delivers on the promises he has dished out in his last two starts. Jimmy Quinn retains the ride this afternoon and, having gained a valuable riding insight with a near miss at Wolverhampton last month, Quinn is fancied to get the best out James Bethell's charge today.
