In depth

Verdict

A dire contest with little to recommend any of the seven runners. More with hope than expectation, POWERFUL SYMBOL gets the nod as he has won a point-to-point and been placed over hurdles and fences, including once here. Brown Trix was fourth at Uttoxeter last month and that was better than previous efforts. Gorran Haven hinted at ability around here in the spring so has to go on the short-list but a bigger leap of faith would be required with the others.
