Verdict

Frosty Friday and Phoenix Flame would normally have a say in maidens here but this looks a hot contest. School For Scandal rallied to take second-place over 7f at Wolverhampton a week ago suggesting today's extra furlong will suit. Derby entry Samarkand has failed to figure in two races at Wolverhampton, but today's surface should put more emphasis on the stamina of this Sadler's Wells progeny. However, John Gosden boasts a phenomenal strike rate here and his Shamardal colt POTOMAC gets the vote with a respectable debut run under his belt.
