Verdict

A typically open sprint but Daintree Affair has been knocking on the door of late and is just preferred. The Karl Burke-trained put up a particularly useful effort when a close third in a better grade at Lingfield last time and should give another solid display if similar front running tactics are employed. Park Star has been well placed to land back-to-back wins over course and distance in January and remains on a fair mark so looks a big danger. Derek Shaw's filly is closely matched with Inching and Sea The World but the former returns from a break and may need the outing while the latter proved most disappointing back on turf and now has something to prove.
