In depth

Verdict

Mambo Dancer was due to run under a penalty at Lingfield yesterday having won at Chelmsford on Tuesday, though has been coping well with a busy workload. However, this would be a first run on this surface. Cousin Khee is a stout stayer and had Ruler Of The Nile behind when scoring over course and distance last month, though the latter is now 6lb better off. Epitaph is another course winner who has been taking on slightly better company, though his stamina over this trip will have to be taken on trust. WESTERN WAY is having a first run on Fibresand but should be suited. He has won over further over hurdles and didn’t get the run of the race when attempting a hat-trick last time at Kempton. Leodis is still a maiden but was staying on at Newcastle last time over 2m and is not out of this.
