In depth

Verdict

Rendezvous Peak may do better now faced with a set of hurdles. Anay Turge is a regular winner over hurdles and fences and Kieron Edgar's claim is a massive plus. He won't be far away and is preferred to Benefits Well, who hasn't raced since disappointing at Fontwell in October, and Vivaccio. The latter was pulled up on his UK debut at Leicester and probably has a bit to prove. VIKEKHAL showed the benefit of a first run over hurdles when holding off Minority Interest at Plumpton in December. That wasn't much of a race but Gary Moore's charge has plenty of scope and can defy the penalty.
