Speightowns Kid completed a course and distance double at the start of last year that included this race. He may well return to form and is preferred to Robbian, who won twice on Turf in October but has been well beaten in all previous starts on the Fibresand. Captain Scooby has never won here but FORTINBRASS scored twice over track and trip last year and was up against higher rated horses than these when third in a claimer last time. He gets the vote with Pearl Noir another to keep an eye on as he slips further down the weights.
