A C&D winner in 2009, Elusive Fame is dropped in class here and has a 7lb claimer to help his cause. But recent form suggests he needs a longer trip to show his best nowadays and the more progressive SIR LOUIS is preferred. He's won his last two starts over C&D and will need to improve again to land his hat trick, but he looks capable of doing just that given the ease of his latest victory. Besty and Onceaponatime are closely matched on their recent form behind Punching, who runs in the previous race, but the once-useful Beckermet hasn't won since 2007 and makes his Fibresand debut on his 93rd start.
