A wide open handicap gets proceedings underway with many in form rivals in opposition including Majik, Gone dunnett and Soba Jones and the tentative vote goes to Majik. The five year old was a fair third behind Mon Secret last time, goes well at the course and off what still looks a fair mark he is taken to score. Gone N'dunnett could also go well but he was third behind Paddywack last time but strictly on the form he has a little to find with Time N' Time Again who was second in the same race. Soba Jones is also worthy of respect he was a fair second behind Maktavish last time but he has not ran for 59 days and he may just need the run. Of the remainder Hurricane Coast is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks weighted up to his best. Wainwright is another that could go well having won well last time out when defeating Shadowfax, however he will find this harder under a penalty, so in a wide open opener we will side with Majik.
