Verdict

The veteran Father Jed won this in 2021 from a much higher mark but has been doing better over hurdles. CATHYS QUEST won a Kilbeggan handicap hurdle earlier this month by 15 lengths and was raised 12lb. She can race from her new mark over fences here and has to be the selection. He Fitz In is another recent winner over timber having landed a Navan handicap but he ran poorly in two starts over the bigger obstacles. Dual hurdles winner Steps Match has finished runner-up a couple of times over fences but Shantou Sisu has been well beaten in two starts since beaten a neck into third at Tipperary.
