Arges again ran well without reward at Naas on Monday, leading for much of the way but having nothing left when headed inside the final furlong. Shoebox King was a 50/1 chance when a close second at Fairyhouse then finished a good third in what looked a strong maiden back there last month. AREILLE, who was just over a length behind in fourth in the latter event, was making her debut so must have a chance of reversing the form. Takana found 5f too sharp at Cork and was staying on nicely so looks best of the remainder.
