Verdict

With his yard in top form, The Mad Well, who completed a double over the course and distance before a good run at Galway last week, has to be on the short-list but BETTER BACK BOB wasn't beaten far in the latter of those two track victories and is massively better off at the weights. That was his first start since 2014 so there's every chance he can reverse the form and take this. Msmilan is progressive and landed a competitive novices' event at Limerick in good style while Miguel Angel was having only his third start over timber when not beaten far at Ballinrobe, though he's never faced ground this testing.
