In depth

Verdict

This looks to be straight match-up between Cumbrian Knight and Moonlit Harbour and vote goes to the former. The selection was a good winner when beating Day du Roy at Bangor last time, with the second horse running well behind Elegant Clutter at Bangor on Monday. The form looks solid enough and the trainer Malcolm Jefferson thinks there is still more to come from this gelding as he ran a bit green on his last outing. Moonlit Harbour is the clear danger and he won well when beating Scolt Head at Hexham. He is sure to go well again and will not be too far away at the finish. It would be a major surprise if any of the others were good enough to feature at the finish, although a market move for It's Harry could be interesting, so we are happy to side with the progressive Cumbrian Knight.
