In depth

Verdict

BORDEAUX BILL easily beat a subsequent winner on his hurdling debut here in January. He is entitled to improve on that and can get the better of Yorgonnahearmeroar, clear of the third when second in a handicap at Chepstow after getting off the mark at Hereford. Helmsley Lad won a bumper here on Boxing Day and was third on his first run over hurdles at Kelso, though has another half-mile to cover today. Strike West has plenty to find on his run at Wetherby last month.
