Verdict

CHARMANT (NAP) has won both starts over fences by a wide margin. He’s been raised 9lb for his latest success at Kelso but there’s more to come from James Ewart’s earlier course and distance winner bidding for a hat-trick. Hawk High beat Ravenhill Road, due to run at Doncaster yesterday, in a match at Wetherby before finishing behind the latter at Newcastle and has subsequently won at the same track while the more-exposed Manwell has got his act together over fences recently and followed a win at Catterick with success at Wetherby. The Paddy Pie seems to have lost his way but Bulkov was much improved at Hexham last time.
