In depth

Verdict

NEVSKY BRIDGE may be nothing special but he loves it here and is taken to follow up his recent course and distance win, with Viscount Rossini the main danger. There is little to choose between that leading pair, with only 1lb separating them today after the selection went up 6lbs for that success earlier in the month. Soft ground suits Martin Todhunter¿s charge who remains on good terms with himself, and with course form being more significant here than at some other tracks we will stick with him. Viscount Rossini meets the selection on the same terms as when beaten three-parts-of-a-length by him that day, and he too acts here and on soft ground. Clearly he is no easy-beat but he is just opposed. Pearson Glen is plenty long enough in the tooth and only last year got off the mark over hurdles. He would have a better chance if the ground were quicker. Conversely, Digital Media will relish the cut underfoot and should have learned plenty for a first chase outing here last month. We expect to see better today now back over the smaller obstacles. Heisivorthedriver ran well the other day at Bangor when just out of the frame but not beaten far. Evan Williams sends him on the mammoth trip from deepest Wales and he certainly has a squeak, but we prefer the claims of Nevsky Bridge.
