In depth

Verdict

A competitive contest gets proceedings underway and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Heather Lad, Oh So Brave and Prize Ring and the narrow vote is given to Oh So Brave. The selection was a fair second behind Honner Fontanail last time out that represents solid form in the context of this race and he need only run up to that form to score. Heather Lad rates the main danger on his best form but he took a heavy fall last time out so can not be put forward with any confidence. Prize Ring is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he has yet to prove he stays this far and he is passed over for that reason. Of the remainder Brave Effect is another that could go well on his best form but that has come with much more cut in the ground and for the winner we return to the progressive Oh So Brave.
