Verdict

Nip On has proved a model of consistency of late and is the choice to gain a richly deserved victory. The gelded son of Dunbeath is a previous course and distance winner and has conditions in his favour so is entitled to go close off a fair mark if fit following a near three-month break. Mister Dave'S is a thorough stayer and is another to consider if in the same form as he showed when second over fences at Wetherby's Boxing Day meeting while Maraud and Brian James also have winning form over C&D and neither can be ruled out off their current mark in an intriguing betting heat.
