        Verdict

A nice competitive finale that can go to EMIRATE ISLE. Unexposed in this sphere the selection improved for a handicap debut under these rules with a runaway win. That was on his first run at this course and a similar effort would be enough to overcome his mark rise with more likely to come. He should have a strong challenge from Spice Bar as he looks well treated under a penalty for a cosy win over a subsequent winner last time. Mardood signed off last season by landing a hat-trick, including in similar conditions over course and distance and after improving in his first two runs back he looks one to watch. Cosmetic could go well if bouncing back from his last run which was following a nice seasonal bow but Emirate Isle should have plenty more to offer over hurdles.
