Verdict

All of AUTHENTIC ACT's recent form is over fences but he goes well here and races off a 6lb lower mark than over the larger obstacles. Harry Challoner is a good jockey booking for Martin Todhunter's charge, who can bounce back to winning ways. Along Came Rosie won here over fences before finishing third over hurdles at Hexham and should be thereabouts again but Newcastle fourth Nisaal has a poor strike rate and Jamaddji's latest third at Catterick doesn't amount to much. Northern Acres may just need this but looks the pick of the remainder.
