In depth

Verdict

Mirage Dore can land this at the expense of Councillor Jack and Professor Higgins. The selection had been knocking on the door before winning at Newcastle last time out. As a result he has race experience along with winning experience also. That should put him in good stead and if able to improve once more he can go close. Councillor Jack will pose as the biggest danger after winning a seller at Stratford. Prior to that he had been in the winners enclosure in the point to point field and although he needs to improve once more any market moves should be noted. Professor Higgins is lightly raced but his last two runs have caught the eye. His latest second to Osolomio showed improvement and he will therefore be one to note in the betting market. But for the winner we return to Professor Higgins
