Verdict

TROODOS JET is the call with The Kealshore Kid and Lerida as the alternatives. The nine-year-old won a similarly dire affair at the course earlier in the month and while defying a penalty will not be easy, if the cheekpieces work for a second time, he sets a fair albeit low standard to aim at. The Kealshore Kid has not gone on for a couple of decent efforts at the start of the season. Michael O'Connell is riding well and is more than fair value for his 5lb claim. Lerida has to reverse form with our selection and connections will be hoping that the ground dries out in advance of this contest. The Fabricator is well bred though devoid of ability. The remainder have little to recommend them on racecourse evidence. A very poor race and connections of Troodos Jet have done well to find such a weak race to attempt a follow up in.
