Verdict

POWERFUL POSITION won a Class 4 handicap at Ffos Las then put a couple of mishaps behind him to complete a lower-grade double here and back at Ffos Las. Not surprisingly, he's shot up the ratings but is progressing fast enough to defy the extra. It's three years since Reine Fee gained her only victory at Clonmel but she was having only her second start for Henry Oliver when runner-up in a Class 3 at Leicester and takes a drop in grade. Wigglesworth also won in that class at Worcester in October but has been unable to build on that while Jessie Lightfoot, who looked one to follow after winning a Market Rasen handicap by 19 lengths, had breathing difficulties when she ran there a couple of weeks later.
