Verdict

A poor race that will not take very much winning and it will be slightly surprising if Primitive Way is not good enough to see of the challenges posed by Silent Snipe and JJ Baboo - although Danteco goes well here and would not have too much to find if her were to overcome top weight in this company. However, Primitive Way had Silent Snipe a long way behind him when scoring at Hexham recently and should have no problems in upholding the form if he negotiates a clear round. He will however keep his supporters on the edge of their seats if he runs true to his profile and it will not be surprising to se him come on and off the bridle as the race unfolds. That said Graham Lee knows the gelding very well and, with his rider's knowledge of both horse and course, Primitive Way is confidently expected to hold all the aces here.
