This appears to be quite a poor contest in which Indian Solitaire can carry top-weight to victory, at the expense of Northern Minster and Pompeii. Indian Solitaire hails from an in form yard and didn't do too badly when fourth behind Bob The Piler at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago. That was a much stronger contest than today's and Richard Fahey's charge will appreciate this lesser opposition. Northern Minster does at least boast recent winning form, although it was in a pretty weak event at Newcastle. He comfortably accounted for Jodante on that occasion and looks set to run another good race. Pompeii has been knocking on the door recently and deserves to win a race of this nature, however in what is a very tricky start to proceedings Indian Solitaire is just given the vote.
