Verdict

With heavy rain set to hit the country, it will be interesting to see how much arrives here and DR FLYNN could well prosper if it does. Howard Johnson's inmate is making a first foray over hurdles having shown reasonable levels of ability in bumpers and does have the edge of matchfitness to count upon. Charlie Egerton doesn't have too many runners here so Catspan is worthy of interest. He won readily at Fakenham under Tony McCoy and gave the impression that he has a future. Bridlingtonbygones is clearly held in some regard if the betting that has accompanied his runs is any guide. Ebony River was not particularly fluent at Carlisle though should be not be too readily dismissed as his yard are in form. Pure Faith was in winning form over summer and has accrued penalties as a consequence but he will need to do better than he showed at Stratford. The well bred Hidden In Time appears best of the rest.
