In depth

Verdict

Phase Eight Girl appeared to appreciate the step up in trip when successful over 3m2f at Huntingdon last time but had previously looked short of pace over this trip and is now 7lb higher. In Extremis II is inconsistent and followed a good effort here last month with a dismal performance at Southwell and can't be backed with confidence so a chance is given to the Irish raider, Stero Heights. The seven-year-old has held his form well of late and ran particularly well on his latest start when a close runner-up in a competitive handicap at Ballinrobe last time. A reproduction may suffice off a fair mark.
