In depth

Verdict

Kings Square can beat the other last-time out winner Hello Baby, with Nifty Roy, Cody and Book's Way worth a mention. Kings Square stayed on well when beating Arctic Lagoon at Musselburgh in February and has been given a two-month break since. That will have freshened-up Mick Easterby's charge and he can return with a bang in a race that will not take too much winning. Hello Baby worked hard to prevail by a head at Hexham last time and the slight step up in trip should be in his favour, as should the faster ground. Nifty Roy was third at Wetherby last time and makes the journey over from the Isle Of Man with place claims, while Cody is a long-standing maiden but has the ability to reach the frame if on a going day. Book's Way kept on at Fakenham last time and has a good jockey on board in Keith Mercer and is another to consider, but Kings Square has plenty going for him and makes most appeal.
