In depth

Formwatch

Bellator Debatable whether he really gets three miles in this sort of company; held by First Gold on running at Aintree and difficult to see how he can reverse the form.

Eau de Cologne On a hat-trick after wins at Kempton and Ascot but needs to improve again if to complete it.

First Gold (FR) Mightily impressive in the King George and again at Aintree last time; very much the one to beat on those efforts although did not run up to form inbetween those efforts when reportedly not fully wound up.

Frantic Tan (IRE) Impressive in the De Vere Gold Cup at Haydock but unseated at Aintree on latest start; may not be up to this task.

General Wolfe Has yet to reproduce reappearance effort at Sandown and difficult to see him being good enough in this company.

Go Ballistic Grand servant to connections over the years who goes on any ground; probably on the downgrade now and best ignored.

Marlborough (IRE) Much improved chaser over the last two seasons; comes here fresh having missed Aintree and not to be discounted lightly.
