Verdict

Buzz Lightyere had been beaten four times at short prices before springing a surprise at Ascot where he stayed on strongly to lead on the line. The assessor hasn't been harsh with a 4lb rise and he should be thereabouts again. The three-year-old Icart Point won on soft ground at Windsor in April and had a break before defying a 6lb rise at Newmarket. He steps up a grade from 7lb higher but is improving fast and will take some beating. Employer hasn't quite gone on as expected after his Windsor victory while Kreb's Cycle has been running moderately but MR MINERALS is back on his last winning mark and was unlucky in-running at Chelmsford so gets the nod. The Last Emperor has gone up 4lb for a close second at Nottingham but it will be a surprise if he's not there at the finish in a tight little handicap.
