      Verdict

      AMERICAN ARTIST was the subject of exceptionally strong support at Kempton last time under Ryan Moore but came home in mid-division behind Rocket Punch two weeks ago. He had previously looked progressive and still harbours plenty of room for improvement after just four starts. Returned to Turf, he is well worth another chance off bottomweight. Wekeyll represents a master at placing horses in William Haggas and could be anything as he moves in handicap company on the back of a narrow Windsor maiden success. The runner-up that day has won since and he rates essential shortlist material with any amount of improvement possible. Voyageofdiscovery and Sonnetation appeal most of the older, more exposed brigade towards the head of the weights and are preferred in that order.
