    Verdict

RA JUNIOR is just preferred in a tricky race to call with Mohanad and Four Winds cited as dangers. With none of the trio proven on the ground this is not an exact science, but the selection has at least got invaluable experience of the Sandown hill, showing promise first time out and with plenty of American dirt form in his pedigree he may just be the best of the three at handling this slower ground, so we'll chance him. Mohanad has had four maiden runs before the handicapper has given him a mark of 83, and he has been rested since something went amiss at Redcar in July. He has not raced on ground slower than good and the bloodlines suggest that he might struggle on this surface. Four Winds made a pleasing debut and should relish the hill here, though again there has to be doubt over whether he can perform to his best on the ground. Conversely, debutant Akmal is beautifully bred being by Selkirk, with Swain on his dam's side, and he should appreciate conditions. Alanbrooke is another who won't mind getting his toe in, but in a race that is probably best watched we'll take RA Junior as the most likely winner.
