chased leader, led halfway, soon clear, ran on strongly
led on rail, headed halfway, no chance with winner when ridden over 1f out, weakened into 3rd inside final furlong
hung right almost throughout, slowly into stride, soon well there, pushed along 3f out, switched left over 1f out, went 2nd inside final furlong, no chance with winner
The weather spoiled DREAM KART’s intended appearance yesterday at Haydock but this looks an even easier opportunity for Mark Johnston’s progressive Dream Ahead filly, who ran well on soft going at Carlisle earlier this month. Wentworth Amigo and Fumbleintheforest showed some ability on debut but will need a lot more to be beat the likely hot favourite.
Wentworth Amigo (IRE) 11-2 (9-5) Soon outpaced, pushed along halfway, ran on inside final furlong, nearest finish, 5th of 8, 7l behind Majestic Sands (9-5) at Leicester 5f stks (4) gd in May.
Dream Kart (IRE) 7-1 (9-0) Slowly into stride, prominent, led just over 3f out, strongly challenged over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, kept on, 3rd of 10, 1l behind Exceptional (9-0) at Carlisle 5f mdn fll stks (5) sft in May.
Fumbleintheforest 25-1 (9-0) Led, raced freely and hung right, headed over 2f out, soon rallied, no extra closing stages, 4th of 6, 5 1/2l behind Malotru (9-5) at Chelmsford City 6f stks (5) pol in May.
