The lightly raced Oh Boy, top weight Brazilian Terrace and Big Smoke, who showed signs of a return to form last time, all warrant respect in this competitive handicap but the vote goes to Pantone. Mark Johnston's filly put up a smart performance to open her account for the season at Newmarket last month and lost no caste in defeat when second to Tiber Tiger, who upheld the form on Wednesday, off her new mark at Beverley last time. Left on a mark of 78 Pantone remains ahead of the handicapper and is taken to regain winning ways. Brazilian Terrace has a progressive profile but may now be in the grip of the handicapper and more interesting could be Brian Meehan's Big Smoke. He seemed not to stay 1m2f when third to Barney McAll at Windsor last month and may appreciate the drop in trip. Oh Boy, who makes his debut in handicap-company, appeals most of the remainder.
