    Verdict

This is without any doubt the best bumper seen in the UK this season and Nicky Richards is taken to follow up last year's success with Funny Times by saddling the winner 12 months on with Knockara Luck, who is preferred to Wyldello and Karello Bay. The last mentioned is bred to be useful at this game being out of a sister to high-class staying hurdler Marello and she looks to be going the right way so has to be respected, especially considering trainer Nicky Henderson's record in bumpers this term. Stablemate Tambourine Davis receives weight all round but needs to improve and of more interest may be Alan King's dual winner Apollo Lady, who should go on the ground but has yet to prove herself on it. Cork Winner Heron Marsh has her first start for Venetia Williams and it will be interesting to see how she performs along with Martin Pipe's Saratogane, who steps up in distance. Larkbarrow won on her debut under similar testing conditions at Haydock and is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Knockara Luck, who found the ground too quick at Musselburgh last time and is better judged on earlier form that gives her solid claims.
