    Verdict

Potentially the best race of the evening this mile handicap, and we'll take a chance with Godolphin's IN FOOTLIGHTS, ahead of Hail Promenader and Ithinkbest. The American bred colt is making his handicap debut, and having only his third run, making him by far the least experienced here. A comfortable winner of a Newmarket maiden last summer, he was then last of five in a conditions stakes race at Leicester. Both of those races have thrown up subsequent winners, and if stripping fit following a lengthy lay-off and able to repeat his debut run, he could look as smart a sort as some of his relatives. Hail Promenader is on a career high mark, and has been placed in two of his four runs here, but hasn't won for more than 18 months, but Barry Hills always has to be respected here. Ithinkbest was runner up in a similar event here last month, and it looks like there may be more to come from him. Amanda Perrett's Tudor Key has already won this season, and support in the ring may be encouraging, but we're on the side of In Footlights.
