    Verdict

Pouvoir made the useful Degas Art pull out all of the stops when narrowly beaten at Aintree last time but Alan King's gelding may not be as well suited by the stiffer test of stamina provided by this course and going today and preference is for Supsonic, with Super Frank rated the best of the rest. The selection looked an unlucky loser when running out late on at Uttoxeter last time and, with proven form over a distance of ground under testing conditions on the flat in France, he looks more likely to appreciate the trip and ground than Pouvoir. In Hope has shown only a modicum of ability and a bigger threat is likely to come from Super Frank but his form is some way short of the required standard and a better bet looks to be Supsonic.
