In depth

Verdict

Irish raider Sharp Defence sets the standard in this with a mark of 83. He was only headed in the final strides on his reappearance at Musselburgh, though could be vulnerable to a less-exposed rival. Primadonia was backed off the boards on her debut at Windsor last year but completely missed the break - she must have some ability. See The Master is a likely improver and Eula Varner was third over course and distance in September. Roger Varian’s string is on fire and JUMIRA PRINCE is his only runner on today’s card. He just looked in need of the run at Newmarket 12 days ago and better is expected here.
