Timpanist appears to have improved for the fitting of blinkers but has gone up again in the weights and is still a maiden after 17 attempts. Zafeen's Pearl also keeps finding one too good while Bennelong only won a seller at Brighton last time. Leicester winner George Thisby was successful over 7f here last month and has twice finished second over C&D. Rod Millman's five-year-old seems sure to make a bold bid to defy top weight but this looks a good opportunity for JODAWES to hit the winning trail again. He landed a handicap on the Polytrack off this mark last winter and his latest second back over this trip at Yarmouth suggests he's ready to strike again.
