Verdict

A lottery of a handicap but the vote goes to IFAN. He won under today's rider at Wolverhampton in March and went very close on his only previous outing in handicap company. Balmoral Castle has suffered a couple of narrow-margin defeats over longer trips of late while South Cape, Lady Bayside and Shamrocked were all placed over today's distance on their latest starts. Intomist is up 6lb for his win at Lingfield while The Mongoose could only manage fifth off today's mark last time having won over track and trip earlier in the month.
