Dee Jay Wells stepped up on his debut effort when finding just Grand Prix too good at Sandown last time but he may not be as effective on today's faster ground and preference is for Sans Reward, who gets the vote ahead of Spiderback. The last mentioned is a stablemate of Dee Jay Wells and could be of interest on his debut, while Blackwater Stream is likely to need the run first time out as is the case with most of Nerys Dutfield's youngsters. Bill Turner can ready a youngster for his debut so Fade To Grey has to be respected but he is bred for stamina and may be best watched. Rod Millman saddles two runners and it is hard to choose between Masai Moon and Stagehand but Brian Meehan's Sans Reward looks to be going the right way and the filly from a good family is taken to open her account.
