    Verdict

KHALAAS (NAP) was given too much to do when a beaten favourite at Newmarket and Paul Hanagan has chosen William Haggas' gelding ahead of maiden winner Alkawn - he looks to have made the right choice. Iconic has his sights lowered and could figure but Bakht A Rawan probably needs more if he's to be competitive against less-exposed types. Gold Prince is a course and distance winner but, along with Plymouth Sound, probably best watched on this occasion.
