In depth

Verdict

Kylkenny, Petrosa and Compton Drake are the three to look out for in this handicap with the vote going to the last named. Compton Drake ran up a hat-trick at the back end of last season winning at Musselburgh, Lingfield and Wolverhampton. Gerard Butler has had a season he would rather forget this year but the winners are now coming. Compton Drake ran down the field in a competitive contest at Goodwood on his reappearance but can be forgiven and if back to his best is set to go close. Kylkenny has won eleven races in his career so far and has been running with great credit of late so much have place prospects. He has also been eased by the handicapper so is worth noting in the market. Petrosa has yet to break his maiden tag but has been highly tried in Listed company. He again has been running well of late and it wont be long before he¿s in the winners enclosure. But for the winner we return to Compton Drake.
